Message from administrative office of TOKYO AUTO SALON

After its 20 years of history, Tokyo Auto Salon is now stepping into a stage of new era.
In 1983, the first aftermarket car show called "Tokyo Exiting Car Show", exhibiting performance modified & dressed up vehicles, was held for the very first time and it was a great success and sensationally new attempt for the industry. In the past 20 years, we have witnessed many changes in vehicle customization trends.
Vehicle customization has been through its childhood and growing up. Along with the great effort of the people in this industry, the international trade deregulations tremendously helped stimulating the growth of the automotive aftermarket industry.

At this moment after historic 20 years, we would like to remind ourselves of fundamentals we built 20 years ago. It is to support our industry's colleagues and provide them the best environment to make their presentations of their talents and skills for the performance modifying & dressing up.

For that purpose, we have decided to keep the same special low rate offered last year as the 20th anniversary special rate. And as a new experiment for the 2003 show, we are planning to set a Silent-Time on media/trade day, Friday, January 10. We believe that it hopefully contributes to create better atmosphere for serious business talk.

We convince that our show, with your continuous participation and strong support, has directly and indirectly contributed in influencing the industry's social recognition and its prosperity. A strong foundation of our industry has been built through these successful 20 years of the events. We will keep challenging in this age of Automotive Industrial Revolution. Our goal is the industry's continuous expansion and globalization. Our hope is that "TOKYO AUTO SALON" will keep contributing in any possible ways to help your business prosperity.
